At the GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit 2025, Kevin McCoy and Simon Sparks are set to host a roundtable
This week, the GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit will feature a roundtable discussion led by Kevin McCoy from Next Jump and Simon Sparks from GameDataCore.
The session, titled 'Level Up or Get Left Behind: How to Win When You're Short on People, Resources, Time, and Money,' will explore strategies such as enhancing feedback environments and fostering a coaching-oriented culture.
Kevin McCoy, co-founder of the e-commerce and employee benefits firm Next Jump, began the Massachusetts branch of the company in 1997. He became the managing director for its UK branch in 2010. He has directed the UK Royal Navy's coaching programs, which will be highlighted as a case study, and oversees the global finance and operations at Next Jump.
COO and co-founder of GameDataCore, Simon Sparks, specializes in games industry insights. He also acts as a culture consultant and collaborates with Next Jump's coaches, bringing experience from coaching with the UK Navy.
"I am eager to share this case study and how I'm implementing these ideas in a startup setting, focusing on feedback as a creative tool, starting with personal ego work before establishing team routines and metrics," expressed Sparks.
Both McCoy and Sparks will speak at the GamesIndustry.biz HR summit happening this Thursday, October 2. Other speakers include Sarah Brewster of Fresh Seed, Gina Jackson from Skillfull and Amiqus' Liz Prince, along with Nicky Ormrod, Chief People Officer at Sega Europe, Simon Court, and Dan Bobby from Value Partnership.
The summit will be hosted at The Royal Institution in London, and tickets, which include access to the Best Places to Work Awards, are available here.
