Techland has called off the development of two games but assures there will be no job cuts

Techland has halted development on two projects that had not yet been publicly announced, but the company has assured that there will be no job cuts because of this decision.
According to reports from GameWatcher, as cited in Puls Biznesu, Techland faced losses amounting to PLN 135 million, equivalent to $37.4 million, in the year 2024, prompting the cancellation of these games.
In a communication with Eurogamer, Techland stated, "None of the changes have led to staff reductions." They explained that developers are now working on various projects within their portfolio. The main priority at present is releasing Dying Light: The Beast on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Post-launch plans for Dying Light: The Beast include revealing future projects at an appropriate time.
Eurogamer suggested that one of the shelved projects most likely includes an open world fantasy RPG first revealed in May 2022. Techland had previously brought on talent from CD Projekt Red, Arkane, and Guerrilla Games to develop this game.
Previously, GamesIndustry.biz discussed with Tymon Smektała, the franchise director of Dying Light, regarding the standalone development of Dying Light: The Beast. Initially conceived as a DLC for Dying Light 2, it was transformed into a standalone game due to a major leak exposing most of its storyline.
