According to People Can Fly documents, the layoffs are distributed as follows:
- 60 people will be laid off from the Project Gemini team — a game developed in partnership with Square Enix;
- 50 people will be laid off from the Project Bifrost team — a game People Can Fly planned to publish themselves.
For those developers from Project Gemini and Project Bifrost who are not laid off, the company will offer roles on other projects. For instance, they are currently working on a game codenamed Project Maverick with Microsoft’s support and assisting Sony with prototype development for Project Delta.
Recall that in 2024, People Can Fly laid off about 150 employees as part of two rounds of layoffs. According to the latest financial report, as of March 31, 2025, the company’s staff consisted of a total of 675 employees.
