Microsoft has laid off several hundred more employees

Three weeks ago, Microsoft announced the layoff of 3% of its workforce, approximately 7,000 employees. However, it turns out these reductions were not the last.

More than 300 people have been laid off from Microsoft

According to a report submitted by Microsoft to Washington state authorities, on June 2, the corporation laid off an additional 305 employees. All were employed at the Redmond office.

A Microsoft representative confirmed to Bloomberg that these layoffs are new and not part of the ones announced in May. According to him, the corporation was forced to take this step to improve its market position.

Microsoft did not specify which teams experienced the cuts. Journalist Stephen Totilo from Game File reported that the gaming division probably was not affected, though no exact information is available.
