Media: The salary at the studio of the creators of Dungeon & Fighter is twice as high as at KRAFTON and NCSOFT

Neople Studio pays its employees significantly more than some other major gaming companies from South Korea. This conclusion was reached by journalists from ChosunBiz, who examined the audit report of the Dungeon & Fighter developers.

According to ChosunBiz, in 2024, the average annual salary at Neople was 218.88 million won ($156,600). To arrive at this figure, journalists subtracted the executive bonuses amounting to 27.5 billion won ($19,700) from the studio's total salary expenditures and divided the remainder by the number of employees. As of December 31, Neople had 1,402 employees.

For comparison, below are the average annual salaries for 2024 in several other Korean companies, officially listed in their reports.

  • Shift Up — 131.6 million won ($94,100);
  • KRAFTON — 109 million won ($78,000);
  • NCSOFT — 108 million won ($77,300).

It should be noted that Neople is a subsidiary of the Japanese-Korean company Nexon. ChosunBiz did not specify how much Nexon itself paid its employees last year. However, Nexon previously reported that in 2024, a total of 89.8 billion yen ($620 million) was spent on salaries, bonuses, and various incentives. With a workforce of 9,332 people, this means that the average payout per employee at Nexon was about 9.6 million yen ($66,400).
