Gamurs Group, a media company, is said to have further reduced its workforce

The Gamurs Group, known for managing platforms such as Dot Esports, Twinfinite, Prima Games, Siliconera, and The Escapist, reportedly executed additional layoffs late last week.

Information from LinkedIn indicates that the recent job cuts impacted several employees, including Evergreen Updates Editor Chris Jecks, SEO Manager Jonna Turner, Lead Data Analyst Thomas Tallentire, Content Strategist Anne Banks, and Assigning Editor Christian Smith.

The publication GamesIndustry.biz has contacted Gamurs Group for further details about the exact number of employees affected during these layoffs. An update will be posted if more information becomes available.

Since the beginning of 2025, numerous employees from Gamurs' affiliates have shared news of layoffs. In March, editors at The Mary Sue and The Escapist disclosed their dismissals. Earlier in February, editors from Destructoid also announced their layoffs on social media.

Furthermore, according to posts on BlueSky, the longstanding PC enthusiast platform PC Invasion currently redirects to Prima Games' site, and its content has been integrated into Prima Games, as reported by writers online.

Despite these changes, PC Invasion remains listed as part of Gamurs' portfolio on their official website.

The company had previously been in the news for layoffs in July and September of 2024, as reported by various outlets.
