Media: Lilith Games Conducted Mass Layoffs

The Chinese mobile development studio Lilith Games has laid off several dozen employees. This information was reported by the portal GameLook.

Project Party

According to the publication, the layoffs affected the team working on a new life simulator called Project Party. Approximately 40% of the department’s specialists may have lost their jobs, reducing the team size from the initial 100 members to 60. The project leader has also left their position.

GameLook attributes the layoffs to an unsuccessful soft launch, which apparently did not meet the company’s expectations.

The staffing changes were part of an updated project development strategy. The company does not currently plan to completely shut down Project Party.

Officially, Lilith Games has not commented on these events.

It is worth noting that in 2022, the studio canceled two other projects—Project Breach and EDEN—which were also accompanied by a series of layoffs.
