Fingersoft announces the layoff of 14 employees
The Finland-based mobile gaming company Fingersoft has let go 14 employees.
According to Pocket Gamer, CEO Jaakko Kylmäoja attributed the layoffs to a "significant drop in ad revenue." The positions impacted spanned various departments, including development, marketing, community, and ASO.
Kylmäoja explained, "Regrettably, after our consultations, we arrived at the tough decision to let go of 14 team members."
The CEO further stated, "These job cuts were not related to any single project but were dispersed throughout the organization. This year's sharp fall in ad revenue made it necessary to restructure our costs to maintain our competitive edge and ensure the firm's continued success."
Toni Fingerroos founded Fingersoft in 2012, with the launch of its first game, Hill Climb Racing, occurring the same year. Its follow-up, Lego Hill Climb Adventures, is set to hit the market in May 2024.
