The game development company Talewind is undergoing a restructuring process that will affect a large portion of its staff.

According to a statement on LinkedIn, the studio expressed regret over the decision and asked recruiters to reach out to COO Georgina Allender-Manners to help affected employees find new roles.

"It is with a heavy heart we announce that Talewind is undergoing a period of restructure, which unfortunately means a significant number of our team are going to be impacted,” the statement said.

The studio acknowledged the talent, passion, and versatility of their team, believing they would be assets to any future employers.

The exact number of job cuts has not been disclosed, but the UK-based company, which specializes in first-party and branded Roblox games, has between 11 to 50 employees listed on LinkedIn.

In a separate LinkedIn post by Allender-Manners, she revealed that she is also affected by the changes and emphasized the seriousness with which the decisions were made.

She stated, "It goes without saying that these decisions were not made lightly. I have had the pleasure of working with the most incredible team over the past [four] years and would recommend them highly to anyone that has the pleasure of interviewing them."

This restructuring at Talewind is part of a broader wave of layoffs in the industry, which has seen around 13,000 jobs lost in 2024 alone.
