Antstream Arcade executes "limited number" of layoffs

Retro gaming streaming company, Antstream Arcade, has announced a round of job cuts.

The layoffs came to light when Diane Hutchinson, the PR and communications manager, and UI designer Robyn Jamieson disclosed their job losses on LinkedIn, indicating they are seeking new roles.

GamesIndustry.biz sought clarification from Antstream, which stated the layoffs affected only a few positions.

The company's statement acknowledged the difficult phase for the gaming industry, noting that due to an internal strategic refocus, a limited number of team members were let go. They assured support for those impacted and reiterated their commitment to offering an exceptional gaming experience.

Established in 2013, Antstream launched its service in 2019. It has been broadening its reach, recently bringing its platform to Xbox last year and to PlayStation earlier this year.
