VR game developer nDreams will lay off up to 17.5% of its employees
The British company nDreams, specializing in virtual reality games, has decided to undergo a restructuring process. As part of this, up to 17.5% of the staff will be laid off. Some managerial positions will be among those affected.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
According to the nDreams website, the company currently employs over 250 people. Based on this number, it can be assumed that about 44 employees might lose their jobs due to the layoffs.
nDreams explained that it is compelled to take this step due to challenges in the VR games market, which require a "renewed strategic focus."
The company emphasized that the restructuring will not affect the development of the games Frenzies and Vendetta Forever.
nDreams was founded in 2006. It has worked on games such as Far Cry VR, Synapse, Fracked, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, and Phantom: Covert Ops. In November 2023, the company joined the gaming conglomerate Aonic.
