Ballistic Moon has confirmed layoffs at the studio

Recently on the internet, it was noticed that the studio behind the remake of Until Dawn had gone through a wave of layoffs, as mentioned in posts by former employees on social media. Ballistic Moon has now officially confirmed that it indeed parted ways with some of its staff.

Ballistic Moon published a statement on LinkedIn regarding the matter. They did not disclose the number of employees laid off, only noting that their team has been "significantly reduced."

As Ballistic Moon explained, the layoffs were a result of challenges within the gaming industry. This decision was not made lightly, but it was necessary to ensure the studio's future.

It appears that the layoffs at Ballistic Moon will not affect the release of the remake of Until Dawn. The game is scheduled to launch on October 4th for PC and PlayStation 5.
