The CEO of Tilting Point, Kevin Segalla, stated that the layoffs are a necessary step due to the challenging situation in the gaming industry. Tilting Point did everything possible to maintain its organizational structure for as long as possible, but a moment came when delaying new mass layoffs became impossible.

The company has made several other "difficult decisions" to keep the business healthy, but Segalla did not specify what they were.

At the beginning of 2023, Tilting Point had already laid off a significant portion of employees. At that time, it parted ways with 60 employees or 14% of its staff.
