The creators of Office Fight will give away a copy of the game to those affected by mass layoffs

Office Fight is a physical puzzle game about a corporate employee who died and turned into a vengeful office ghost after being abruptly fired. The game was developed by the Australian company Fenix Studios. Recently, the studio announced that they would be giving away free copies of the title to those who lost their jobs due to layoffs in 2024.

The Fenix Studios team explained that they are all too familiar with being unfairly dismissed. The developers of Office Fight founded their studio in 2023 after losing their own jobs. They hope that their game will allow people to blow off steam and achieve emotional relief.

Fenix Studios will be accepting applications for free copies until September 4.

Office Fight was released on August 21 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game has not attracted much attention yet—its peak online activity on Steam reached only six players. According to Fenix Studios, on the eve of the release, Office Fight had about 2,000 wishlists on Valve's platform.

According to Game Industry Layoffs, gaming companies have fired over 11,500 employees since the beginning of the year. The largest layoffs were at Microsoft (2,150 people), Unity (1,800 people), and Sony Interactive Entertainment (1,120 people).
