Jam City lays off 85 employees

Jam City CEO Josh Yguado attributed the layoffs to ongoing challenges in the gaming industry. He stated that although analysts predicted the industry would recover in 2024 after a "challenging 2023" and start growing again, this has not happened.

It's also reported that Jam City's "some key games" are currently underperforming compared to expectations.

The last time Jam City had a significant round of layoffs was two years ago. In August 2022, it laid off about 150-200 people.
