"Leave, Pete" — several Bungie employees have called for the studio head to resign
Yesterday, Bungie announced a major layoff. Following this, some current and former employees of the studio took to social media to criticize the management.

Dissatisfied developers believe that Bungie's financial troubles and subsequent layoffs were caused by poor decisions made by the studio's leaders. Chiefly responsible, in their view, is CEO Pete Parsons, who they believe should be ousted.
The anger intensified after it was discovered online that since September 2022, Parsons has allegedly spent over $2.4 million on purchasing 25 retro cars. Some of these purchases were made during a previous round of layoffs at Bungie in the fall of 2023, when approximately 100 people lost their jobs.
Pete Parsons has spent 2.4 MILLION DOLLARS on cars, trucks, and bikes on one single auction site since late 2022.
Since the Bungie layoffs in October 2023, he’s spent around $500,000 on vehicles.

However, insider Jeff Grubb claims that Parsons can no longer be called the head of Bungie. According to him, the studio is currently led by Hermen Hulst, one of the CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
