The skills shortage was a key topic of discussion at the recent HR Summit hosted by GamesIndustry.biz. Industry leaders and HR professionals explored strategies to address the growing gap in talent within the sector.
Additional speakers have been announced for the upcoming GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit this September, focusing on the skills gap and nurturing new talent.

Gina Jackson, founder of Skillfull, will present updates on her report on the skills crisis in one of the sessions. Additionally, Phil Atkinson from NextGen Skills will explore apprenticeship opportunities during a breakout session.
Scott Baxter, operations director at Wardog Studios, will talk about training in an era marked by rapid skills obsolescence.
Apart from skills development, the summit will cover various themes like team morale, leadership in turbulent times, AI, neurodiversity, hybrid working, and mental health. The event concludes with the 2024 Best Places To Work Awards. Tickets are accessible here.
Last year's event at BAFTA was sold out. This year, a larger venue will accommodate the event.
