The creators of Just Cause have closed two studios and laid off 9% of their staff
Avalanche Studios Group announced the closure of two of its five internal studios. It has shut down its divisions in New York and Montreal.

As a result, approximately 50 people lost their jobs — that's 9% of the company's workforce.
In an official statement, Avalanche Studios Group called the decision difficult but necessary to ensure the company's stable and reliable future. The specific reasons for the studio closures were not disclosed.
Following the closures of the New York and Montreal divisions, Avalanche Studios Group still has offices in Stockholm, Malmö, and Liverpool.
