Microsoft has pledged not to hinder ZeniMax Media employees from joining unions
The Microsoft Corporation signed a labor neutrality agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA, the union for communication workers in the USA) concerning the employees of ZeniMax Media. Microsoft pledged to support unions within the subsidiary.

In 2022, Microsoft signed a similar agreement, but it only applied to the employees of Activision Blizzard. At that time, Activision Blizzard was not yet part of Microsoft, but the corporation was actively working to close the deal.
ZeniMax Media already has its own union — ZeniMax Workers United. It was organized by testers at the beginning of 2023.
