We continue to summarize the results of 2023 with gaming (or related to the gaming industry) teams. Next up is an interview with Dmitry Fokin, CEO of CarX Technologies Studio.

What was the year like for the company? What have you done that you would like to highlight in terms of achievements?

In 2023, our company CarX Technologies demonstrated growth in both net revenue and net profit, surpassing the results of the previous year.

We have successfully overcome the difficulties associated with the imposition of sanctions and financial restrictions on the market, which required additional resources than planned. Despite these challenges, our company has stood the test and managed to release an open-world CarX Street racing project on mobile platforms.

Unfortunately, in 2023 we did not have time to release the PC and console versions of the project, as originally planned.

How has the situation in the gaming market changed?

Changes in the gaming market have brought new challenges and opportunities for us. On the one hand, it has become easier for us to attract experienced employees to our company, since the personnel situation has become more favorable for us, which was due to the withdrawal from the Russian market of a number of game studios, some of whose employees did not accept the conditions of relocation to other countries or a remote work format.

On the other hand, there were difficulties in implementing long-term planning and integration into the development of projects for 3-4 years ahead, especially in the context of releasing new titles or entering related genres.

What was the year like for the genres in which you work?

The year 2023 turned out to be quite eventful for the genre of racing games, presenting a number of good projects. We have seen the announcements of the open-world mobile game NFS Zeal, whose release we are waiting to compare with our CarX Street. In addition, we drew attention to an interesting project from Creative Mobile — Nitro Nation World Tour.

In general, in 2024, several exciting racing projects will be released on PC and consoles.

What are the company's plans for next year?

In 2024, we plan to release CarX Street on PC and consoles, as well as release a sequel to our flagship product CarX Drift Racing 3 on mobile devices.
