From the studio of the creators of Zombies, Run! half of the employees were fired
The British studio Six to Start has cut half of the developers, Axios reports, citing its CEO and co-founder Adrian Hon. Layoffs affected both full-time and freelance employees.
In particular, technical director Jen Tan and head of the production department Matt Wieteska were cut.
Hong is also leaving the studio. He will remain as CEO until early 2024, and then take a "long break" from game development.
Six to Start, which opened in 2006, is best known for the mobile fitness games Zombies, Run!, The Walk and Marvel Move. Six to Start is a small studio. According to LinkedIn, it employs 26 people.
