Keywords Studios fired BioWare game testers
Keywords Studios has joined the list of companies that have cut staff. At the end of September, she terminated contracts with specialists who helped BioWare with game testing.
As Keywords Studios explained in the Polygon comment, she had to take such a step after BioWare stopped cooperating with the company. In total, Keywords Studios has parted ways with 13 testers.
Polygon recalled that last year a group of 16 Keywords Studios testers created a trade union, which became part of the United Food and Commercial Industry Workers of Canada (UFCW Canada). All the dismissed specialists were its members.
UFCW Canada claims that Keywords Studios violated labor standards when firing testers. In particular, the company allegedly offered a minimum severance package.
