Media: Naughty Dog cuts freelance staff
Naughty Dog has decided to part ways with some of its employees, Kotaku reports, citing sources. The company will terminate contracts with at least 25 freelance employees.
Full-time employees will not be affected by the layoffs.
According to Kotaku, layoffs will take place in different departments, but testers will mainly suffer — specialists with whom the contract will be terminated will work in the company until the end of October. They will not be compensated. It is reported that Naughty Dog asked both full-time and freelance employees not to spread about what is happening.
Perhaps the layoffs are related to problems in the development of the multiplayer The Last of Us. One of Kotaku's sources claims that Naughty Dog has not yet canceled, but has actually frozen the game.
