Bloomberg: Epic Games company is laying off 16% of employees

Bloomberg correspondent Jason Schreier stated in his profile on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that significant cuts have begun at Epic Games.

They will affect 16% of the company's staff (about 900 employees).

The message was published with reference to internal sources. The company itself has not yet given any information about any cuts.

What is the reason for such steps by Epic Games is not yet reported. We are waiting for details.

Update: inside the company, rumors about this started in the morning, when many employees were blocked from Slack. Then the company sent out an appeal to employees, in which it announced the cuts. All those dismissed will receive a six-month allowance and insurance.
