NetEase has opened a studio headed by gaming industry veteran Rick Vogel
The Chinese company NetEase has announced the opening of a studio in the USA — T-Minus Zero Entertainment. The new team was headed by an industry veteran with 26 years of experience, Rich Vogel.
During his career, Vogel has launched three studios: Sony Online Entertainment Austin, BioWare Austin and Bethesda Game Studios Austin. He has had a hand in games such as Ultima Online, The Elder Scrolls Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Together with him, former developers of Fallout 76, Doom, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Crimson Alliance were among the studio’s leaders.
T-Minus Zero Entertainment is based in Austin, but is going to hire employees from all over the world. The studio’s debut game will be a multiplayer sci-fi action game with a third-person view of the original IP.
