Japan's COLOPL has raised the salary of all employees amid inflation in the country
COLOPL, the company that published the White Cat Project and Shironeko Tennis mobile games, decided to support the employees. She announced that throughout the year, in addition to her salary, she would pay a monthly allowance of ¥ 10 thousand, or approximately $78.2.
All COLOPL employees, including freelance ones, will be able to receive the benefit. As the publisher hopes, it will be easier for them to cope with the rapid rise in prices in Japan against the background of the falling yen
COLOPL is not the only company in Japan that has now started paying employees more. According to Teikoku Databank, 6.6% of companies have already raised salaries, and 26.4% are going to do it in the near future. It is unknown if there are other publishers and game developers among them.
