UNI Global Union: 66% of game developers have low salaries

More than half of the employees of game studios believe that they are underpaid. This is stated in the study of the Federation of trade Unions UNI Global Union, which interviewed specialists from 29 countries.

Among developers, the authors of mobile games most often complained about low salaries — 73%.

▪️94% of employees of localization companies are dissatisfied with their incomes.

Among other problems, the survey participants named recycling (43%), lack of benefits (43%), lack of access to the necessary software (39%), discrimination/harassment (35%).

▪️79% of the survey participants said they would support the creation of a trade union. Only 6% of people were categorically against the association.
