Developer Mikhail Kadikov announced an educational game for aspiring level designers
A Steam page for the game Intuitive Level Design has appeared, described as an interactive course on creating intuitively understandable levels.
Users will explore the world by interacting with points of interest and listening to audio commentary explaining various nuances of level design. According to Kadykov, there are no projects in this format on the platform, so it's uncertain how the audience will perceive the game.
The release of Intuitive Level Design is expected within a couple of months. After that, the developer plans to support the game with free updates containing new educational content.
Mikhail Kadykov is an experienced level designer who started by creating levels for Counter-Strike 1.6. His portfolio includes numerous games, including Might & Magic: Heroes VII, The Climb, and Hunt: Showdown. He is also the author of the book "Design of Virtual Worlds."
