Veterans from King raised 4 million euros to develop an interior design app
In 2023, a group of former King employees launched their own studio, Studio 555. The team recently successfully closed a seed funding round amounting to 4 million euros.
Studio 555 will use the funds to develop its debut project. While details are still under wraps, it is known that the project will be an interior design app featuring gaming elements and social features.
Investment into the developers came from venture companies HOF Capital and Failup Ventures, along with several angel investors. Among these were Riccardo Zacconi, co-founder of King, Mikko Kodisoja, co-founder of Supercell, and Timo Soininen, co-founder of Small Giant Games.
Studio 555 is based in Helsinki. Its team consists of 16 people, including not only King veterans but also individuals from Rovio, Electronic Arts, Paradox Interactive, and other major companies.
