Senior designer of The Witcher 3 left for Techland
The lead designer of GWENT and senior designer of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 left CD Projekt RED for another Polish company – Techland.
Damien Monnier, who worked for 4 years at the Polish forge of CD Projekt RED hits, moved to Techland (Dying Light and Call of Juarez). He announced his departure from CD Projekt RED back in November. But only yesterday it became known about his new place.
He won’t have to move. Its new office is also located in Warsaw. In his new position, Monier took the post of lead designer of an open-world fantasy role-playing game that has not yet been officially announced.
“Monier was one of the two designers who created Wild Hunt, and he also played an important role in the development of GWENT as a separate game,” a CD Projekt RED representative told Eurogamer.
Prior to CD Projekt RED, Monier worked at Evolution Studios (MotorStorm and DriveClub) as a designer, as well as Team17 (Worms series) in the same position.
