The second quarter of 2014 was a record for Glu Mobile
Glu Mobile has published a report for the third quarter of 2014, which ended for the company on September 30, 2014. The company's revenue amounted to a record $64.8 million, an increase of 199% compared to the same period last year and 15% more than in the previous quarter.
The main growth factor was the title Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which brought the company 52% of the total revenue.
Net profit for the quarter was $10.6 million, while 12 months ago the company closed the same quarter with a loss of $8 million, and the second quarter was closed with a loss of $3 million.
Glu Mobile CEO Niccolo de Masi claims that the past quarter was the most successful in the company's history.
"The third quarter created the title Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the recently released Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores, Tap Sports: Baseball, along with Deer Hunter 2014 and Eternity Warriors 3, as well as the recently added Racing Rivals to our portfolio."
Total downloads of Glu Mobile titles for the quarter amounted to 108 million, of which Kim Kardashian: Hollywood accounted for 22.9 million.
DAU also reached a record for the company, 7.2 million, but MAU decreased to 60.3 million compared to the previous quarter.
The company ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents valued at $54 million.
