TinyBuild reported an 18% increase in revenue, reaching $20 million during the first half of 2026. A significant 85% of this revenue was generated from first and second-party owned intellectual property
For the first half of 2026, TinyBuild reported its revenue grew by 18%, reaching $20 million, benefiting from "strong catalogue performance and new launches."
In figures that have not been audited, 85% of the company's gaming revenue was attributed to IP they fully or partially owned, notably through second-party titles making a significant impact.
Back catalogue titles were responsible for 68% of the gaming revenue generated in the first half of the year. Notable titles like Hello Neighbor and Graveyard Keeper have consistently contributed to the revenue stream.
The launch of new games such as Hozy, All Will Fall, and Sand: Raiders of Sophie was bolstered by these existing titles.
In this period, TinyBuild expanded its IP offerings with the launch of I Am Future on consoles, along with DLC for The King is Watching, and the Switch release of Kill It With Fire 2.
The firm reported a 5.7% decrease in gross profit, from $10.4 million to $9.8 million, attributed to "higher royalty payments due to successful second-party releases."
Adjusted EBITDA saw a 23.2% decline, falling to $3.2 million from $4.2 million, largely due to a rise in marketing spending to support new game launches.
During this time, TinyBuild's workforce "remained broadly stable," with nearly 200 employees.
With a robust lineup of projects, including several significant investments above $5 million, TinyBuild is confident in surpassing full-year expectations propelled by high-potential IPs and catalogue enhancements.
According to CEO Alex Nichiporchik, "TinyBuild is well-positioned with a strong pipeline and a proven ability to attract, screen and market games, both from existing and brand-new IP."
He emphasized their strategy of diversifying high-potential own-IP investments while using a franchise model to extend IP lifespans and maximize returns.
Nichiporchik further stated, "Our medium-term strategy is to expand our position as a leading global video games developer and publisher, focusing on IP ownership while creating long-term scalable franchises across multiple media formats. 2026 so far has seen significant progress towards that ambition, and I would like to thank all of our staff for their amazing contribution and our shareholders for their support."
In June, venture capital firm Griffin Gaming Partners acquired a 3.24% stake in TinyBuild, highlighting the company's stable IP and its ability to build "sustainable franchises with a global reach."
