CD Projekt Red reports a 37% increase in profit for the first half of 2026

CD Projekt Red's financial performance in the initial half of 2026 marked a notable increase, with revenue hitting $116.5 million (435 million PLN), a 23% rise compared to the previous year. The company's net profit surged by 37%, reaching $66.7 million (249 million PLN), while their net profitability stood at an impressive 57.2%.

Looking ahead, CD Projekt Red outlined a strategy for The Witcher series spanning the next three years. Key highlights include the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered on September 29. This version, available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and making its debut on Switch 2, will be free for those who already own the original game, complete with its previous expansions.

The collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment will see the Remastered edition and the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion made accessible on Battle.net. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now surpassed 65 million copies sold, contributing to the overall series sales exceeding 90 million.

In contrast, Cyberpunk 2077's sales have surpassed 40 million copies, with the Phantom Liberty expansion reaching 15 million sales in under three years. Notably, Night City featured in titles like Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends this year, and a Cyberpunk trading card game set a Kickstarter record for funding.

The sequel, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, co-produced with Studio Trigger, will premiere on Netflix on October 20. CFO Piotr Nielubowicz noted the growing significance of licensing to the company's success, alongside ongoing sales from both major franchises.

Earlier in May, CD Projekt revealed a modest 6% revenue boost to $52.5 million (PLN 191 million) during the first quarter of 2026 while announcing the third expansion for 2015's The Witcher 3. In June, the company also rebranded itself as CD Projekt Red.
