In Russia, sales of gaming wheels have significantly increased over the past year
Representatives from both "M.Video" and "Avito" report on this development. The extent varies greatly, but both companies note the trend.
- According to "M.Video", between January and June 2026, 78.3 thousand gaming wheels were purchased (an increase of 27.3%). This amounted to 1.22 billion rubles spent (an increase of 23.8%).
- According to "Avito", in August 2026, 70% more gaming wheels were sold compared to August of the previous year. The exact number of devices sold is not specified.
In a conversation with the publication "Izvestia", representatives from marketplaces and industry experts involved in the development of racing games (specifically, projects such as CarX and GameSTUL!) stated that this trend is linked to:
- a decrease in the cost of such devices and the emergence of more affordable solutions;
- the growing popularity of modern racing games;
- the development of esports.
Queues at gas stations, related to a gasoline shortage, as well as its rising costs, and the overall increase in vacation prices in Russia were not mentioned by any experts.
