In the first half and second quarter of 2026, Remedy experienced a drop in revenues while increasing promotional activities for Control Resonant.

CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon anticipated this performance and is optimistic about the initial feedback for Resonant ahead of its September 24 release.

Financial Performance

Q2 2026 Overview:

  • Revenue: €10.2 million, representing a 40% decrease
  • Operating Loss: €3.9 million, compared to a €0.5 million loss in the previous year’s Q2

H1 2026 Overview:

  • Revenue: €23.3 million, marking a 23.1% decline
  • Operating Loss: €2.9 million, in contrast to a €0.8 million profit in the same period in 2023

Key Points

The fall in Q2 and H1 revenues was linked to the previous release of FBC: Firebreak and heightened promotion for Resonant.

Resonant's pre-orders started robustly and placed among the top three pre-ordered PlayStation titles in the U.S., Germany, and Brazil.

Gaudechon noted, "Our metrics show the game is performing well against similar games in its release timeframe. In the dense autumn release schedule, we believe the game’s unique aspects and quality will ensure it stands out.

“Moreover, since the original announcement, the release window has eased, bolstering our confidence in its market position.”

Game sales and royalty income amounted to €3.8 million, a decrease from €9.5 million a year earlier, which had included Firebreak's revenue and initial subscription revenues.

There was an uptick in sales for the 2019 Control during Q2, aided by continued promotion for Control Resonant.

Alan Wake 2 has surpassed three million copies sold, with royalties from this title and Alan Wake Remastered deriving solely from sales to consumers, without contributions from platform deals.

Development funds from Resonant as well as the remake of Max Payne 1 & 2 added up to €6.4 million, less than the €7.4 million from the previous period.

Gaudechon stated, "As we approach our most ambitious launch to date with Resonant, our existing titles have served us well, and other projects are progressing as planned, with a new title nearing production readiness."

He further highlighted, "The positive reception and commercial data for Resonant are encouraging, though our aim remains to deliver an excellent game and let its success be the ultimate measure. I see weekly improvements, and our marketing push will ramp up in Q3."
