Profit has returned to growth — and other highlights from the semi-annual report of Paradox Interactive
The first half of 2026 turned out to be quite favorable for Paradox Interactive. In its financial report, the Swedish company reported a growth in its revenue.
- Compared to the first half of 2025, Paradox Interactive's revenue increased by 4%, reaching SEK 955 million ($100.6 million).
- The company continued to grow its revenue from console games, now accounting for 12.25% compared to 9.44% the previous year. This equates to SEK 117 million ($12.3 million). Nevertheless, the overwhelming majority of Paradox Interactive's revenue still comes from PC—85% or SEK 811 million ($85.4 million).
- Mobile contributed another 2.1% to Paradox Interactive's revenue, or SEK 20 million ($2.1 million).
- The main market for Paradox Interactive remained the United States, responsible for 85.1% of revenue, or SEK 813 million ($85.6 million).
- Paradox Interactive did not disclose the top-grossing games for the entire half-year, but mentioned that in the second quarter, which ran from April to June 2026, the most successful titles included Cities: Skylines II, Hearts of Iron IV, Europa Universalis V, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and five more titles. Meanwhile, revenue from Crusader Kings III declined—the April 2026 release of the Songs of the Realm expansion performed worse than the Khans of the Steppe expansion, which launched in April 2025.
- Alongside revenue, Paradox Interactive's operating profit also slightly increased—by 1% to SEK 283 million ($29.8 million). The company noted that profits were particularly strong in the second quarter, rising sharply by 37% to SEK 182 million ($19.2 million). It is worth noting that this figure had declined for the previous three consecutive quarters.
- The company's operating margin for the half-year remained unchanged at 30%.
- Towards the end of the half-year, Paradox Interactive changed its stock exchange. Previously, its shares were traded on Nasdaq First North Growth Market, but as of June 9, they moved to Nasdaq Stockholm.
