Paradox Interactive's profits continue to decline — key points from the company's report
Joining the parade of financial reports is the Swedish company Paradox Interactive. It summarized the results of the first quarter of 2026, which ended on March 31.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
- In the document, Paradox Interactive stated that its quarterly revenue amounted to 431.1 million Swedish kronor ($46.4 million). Compared to the previous year, the amount decreased by 7%.
- Looking at platforms, the company managed to significantly increase its revenue from console games — it jumped by 44% to 70.9 million Swedish kronor ($7.63 million). However, Paradox Interactive's main earnings traditionally came from PC, amounting to 345.2 million Swedish kronor ($37.14 million, -11.6%).
- The breakdown of revenue by regions is as follows: 2.49% of Paradox Interactive's revenue came from Sweden, 12.43% from the rest of Europe, and 82.16% from the US.
- Among the best-selling games of the quarter was Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, although previously Paradox Interactive admitted its release was unsuccessful. However, aside from Bloodlines 2, the list consists of eight more games, including Age of Wonders 4, Crusader Kings III, and both Cities: Skylines.
- Paradox Interactive once again reported a decline in operating profit — it should be noted that on a yearly basis, it has been decreasing for the third consecutive quarter. This time, the profit fell by 31% to 100.8 million Swedish kronor ($10.85 million).
- The company's operating margin decreased from 32% to 23%.
- However, the staff at Paradox Interactive has grown. The company reported that from January to March, the average number of employees was 681, which is 95 more than the previous year.
