Everplay, the parent company of Team17, announces a 10% rise in profit for 2025
Everplay, the parent company of Team17 Digital, has released its financial figures for the year 2025, showing stability in revenue and a 10% rise in gross profit.
The organization, formerly known as Team17 Group, underwent a rebranding in June. Mikkel Weider took over as CEO in January 2026.
Financial Overview
- Revenue: £166 million, unchanged from the previous year
- Gross profit: £76.3 million, marking a 10% increase from the previous year
Everplay attributes the static revenue level to ceasing low-margin direct physical game distribution, which boosted their gross margin. Without this distribution, revenue experienced a 5% increase. The introduction of 11 new games in 2025 resulted in an 80% surge in revenue. These releases included titles such as "Date Everything" by Sassy Chap Games and "Sworn" by Windwalk Games.
Although the back catalog, contributing to 65% of overall revenue, didn't reach the high 2024 levels, it still attained double-digit growth compared to 2023. Over the fiscal year, Everplay also obtained a minority interest in Bulkhead, the developers behind "Battalion," along with Super Media Group and Hiro Capital.
The company expanded its portfolio by purchasing the rights to the Hammerwatch series and other intellectual properties from Bearded Brothers, as well as securing long-term publishing rights for titles like "Operation: Tango" by Clever Plays.
Examining its divisions, Team17 recorded an 8% rise in sales totaling £106 million, fueled by a significant 700% boost in revenue from new game releases. Specifically, "Date Everything" achieved over 750,000 players after its June 2025 debut.
Revenue for Astragon dropped by 33% after halting low-margin physical game distribution, leading to an 18% decrease when excluding this change. Everplay anticipates better performance for Astragon in FY 2026 by focusing investments on popular franchises.
StoryToys reported a 25% revenue increase, reaching £30.4 million, due to the release of a new app and 740 updates. "Lego Bluey," in particular, noted over one million downloads within its debut month.
Looking forward, Everplay is confident in achieving another profitable growth year in FY 2026 and continuing its growth trajectory into the future. CEO Mikkel Weider expressed enthusiasm about the company's prospects, acknowledging the success of 2025 and looking ahead to a robust lineup of releases in 2026.
