Embracer Group's quarterly revenue fell by 26%, but the holding company remains satisfied
On December 31, 2025, Embracer Group concluded the third quarter of its current fiscal year. In a recent report, the Swedish holding company detailed how this period unfolded.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Mysteria Ecclesiae
- For October to December 2025, Embracer Group garnered 5.2 billion Swedish kronor ($581.7 million). This represents a 26% decrease compared to the previous year. However, the holding's management had anticipated even lower numbers, so they found the outcome satisfactory. Moreover, revenue significantly rose by 34% and 54% compared to the first and second quarters, respectively.
- According to Embracer Group, the revenue exceeded expectations due to the success of games in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Dead Island, and Tomb Raider franchises. In particular, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II performed well, recently releasing the Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion, resulting in its total sales exceeding 5 million copies.
- Overall, revenue from PC and console games amounted to 1.99 billion Swedish kronor ($223.5 million). Compared to the previous year, this was a decrease of 11%. When focusing on new releases from the quarter, they generated 228 million Swedish kronor ($25.6 million) — a rise of 25%.
- Revenue from mobile games sharply fell by 66% to 566 million Swedish kronor ($63.6 million).
- The non-gaming entertainment and services segment brought in 2.6 billion Swedish kronor ($294.6 million) for Embracer Group, marking a 15% decline compared to October-December 2024.
- Despite the drop in revenue, Embracer Group's net profit grew. It increased by 45% to reach 1.4 billion Swedish kronor ($162.2 million).
The report also mentioned that in December, Coffee Stain Group departed from the group. Now it is a separate public company with its own shares on the stock exchange. Earlier, Asmodee Group also split from the holding. Embracer Group itself is expected to rebrand as Fellowship Entertainment soon, but the exact timing of the final transformation has not been specified.
