Noteworthy Achievements
The year 2025 has been particularly successful for Roblox, as their performance greatly surpassed their own projections and long-term objectives.
Roblox achieved "new milestones" in significant metrics like daily active users (DAU) and user engagement hours. By the fiscal year's end, the platform held 3.4% of the worldwide gaming content market.
In the fourth quarter, revenue and booking boosts were driven by increases in DAUs and enhanced monetization. DAUs rose 69% year-over-year, reaching 144 million, while engagement spiked 88% to 35 billion hours.
The average unique monthly payers surged by 94% annually, climbing to 36.7 million, with users spending about $20.18 monthly. Moreover, the expenditure on Robux, its virtual currency, saw a 53% increase.
In early January 2026, Roblox introduced global age verification for chat users, and by January 31, 45% of DAUs had undergone age verification.
Among those verified, 35% were under 13 years old, 38% were between 13 and 17, and 27% were over 18.
Roblox initially started rolling out mandatory age verifications last November in regions like Australia, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. By January 31, compliance in these areas reached 60%.
Looking forward, Roblox anticipates its annual revenue to grow between $6 billion and $6.2 billion, with bookings projected at $8.2 billion to $8.5 billion.
David Baszucki, Roblox's founder and CEO, stated, "Roblox's success stems from the limitless creativity of our creators." He noted that, in 2025, their efforts led to significant platform expansion, allowing the top 1,000 creators to average earnings of $1.3 million each.
He added, "We aim to connect one billion users and to secure 10% of the gaming market globally. Our strategy involves relentless innovation: providing high-quality content, using AI to quicken content release, and maintaining a commitment to online security."
