Scopely's Monopoly Go has set a record as the quickest mobile game ever to achieve $6 billion in revenue

Monopoly Go from Scopely has achieved over $6 billion in revenue, setting a record as the fastest mobile game to reach this figure.

Previously, the game surpassed $5 billion within its first two years. Last year, Hasbro reported that revenue from digital and licensed games increased by 22%, reaching $471.7 million, with Monopoly Go contributing $112 million to that total.

According to new information from Sensor Tower, referenced by PocketGamer.biz, the game reached this milestone in 1275 days, faster than any other title. In comparison, Mixi's Monster Strike took 1673 days and Tencent's Honor of Kings took 1762 days to achieve the same revenue.

Sensor Tower emphasizes that from its release in 2023, the game quickly became the leading casual game worldwide by revenue and achieved the highest in-app purchase revenue by 2024. By 2025, it was recognized as the foremost mobile IP for the Monopoly brand and topped global revenues for tabletop-themed games.

Notably, the revenue estimates provided by Sensor Tower exclude advertising and direct-to-consumer sales, suggesting the real earnings could be substantially higher.

"No other game has hit the $6 billion mark in in-app purchases as swiftly," remarked Sensor Tower's Sam Aune. "This milestone signifies a pivotal moment for its category, asserting Monopoly Go as a groundbreaking release that advanced its genre, uplifted the Monopoly franchise on an international scale, and elevated Scopely’s rank among top industry players."

Sam Aune further highlighted, "Its rapid ascent is unparalleled, even when measured against the most lucrative games on the market." Scopely reports that the game maintains a revenue generation of roughly $200 million each month, demonstrating its robust and ongoing global appeal.

Scopely continues to assert that Monopoly Go sustains monthly revenues of about $200 million.
