Sales of Buckshot Roulette doubled over the past year
As a result, the number of copies sold for the indie horror game about "Russian roulette" surpassed 8 million.

This achievement was announced by Estonian solo developer Mike Klubnika and publisher Critical Reflex in the Buckshot Roulette event feed on Steam. They described such massive sales as "crazy."
"Just think about it, 8 million people have played a small horror game... There are entire countries with fewer inhabitants than you — the brave high rollers who joined us. It's hard to find words to express our gratitude to all of you. From a small experiment on itch.io to launching on Steam, adding multiplayer, and now reaching this gigantic milestone. A huge thank you to every player; without you, this simply wouldn't have happened," wrote Klubnika and Critical Reflex.
Here’s how Buckshot Roulette sales have grown since its release:
- 500 thousand copies — April 9, 2024;
- 1 million copies — April 17, 2024;
- 2 million copies — July 5, 2024;
- 4 million copies — December 10, 2024;
- 8 million copies — December 23, 2025.
As a reminder, Buckshot Roulette debuted on itch.io on December 28, 2023, and made its way to Steam by April 4, 2024. Currently, Klubnika is working on the Xbox Series console version of the game, which is planned to be released sometime in 2026.
