Hogwarts Legacy sales reached 40 million copies
The game surpassed this milestone in just under three years: it was released on February 10, 2023.

Formally, the audience for Hogwarts Legacy should be even larger. The game is available through Game Pass (Premium tier) and PlayStation Plus (Premium and Extra tiers), and last week it was made free in the Epic Games Store. However, Warner Bros. and Avalanche Software have not disclosed the total number of people who have experienced the adventure in the "Harry Potter" universe.
Here are the previous key sales milestones of Hogwarts Legacy:
- 12 million copies — February 2023;
- 22 million copies — January 2024;
- 30 million copies — November 2024;
- 34 million copies — March 2025.
Currently, Avalanche Software is working on a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, but little is known about it so far. It doesn't have a release date yet either.
