Key Metrics

Covering the period concluding on September 30, 2025

  • Revenue: $1.83 billion, experiencing a decrease of 9% compared to the previous year
  • Net income: $137 million, representing a 53% reduction compared to the same period last year
  • Net bookings: $1.81 billion, shrinking by 13% from the previous year

Although EA's total sales declined by 13% to $1.81 billion, there were notable improvements in its Madden NFL and Sports FC portfolios. Madden NFL 26 had an increase in net bookings due to a rise in returning players during the second quarter. Sales for Sports FC 26 improved to a "mid single digits" range when compared to its predecessor.

Apex Legends rebounded with robust double-digit sales growth. Successful launches of Skate and Battlefield 6 highlighted EA's enduring focus on fostering creative and community-driven gaming experiences designed for sustainability. "Across our wide-ranging library—from EA Sports to Battlefield, The Sims, and Skate—our teams are committed to delivering remarkable experiences that unite and motivate players globally," EA CEO Andrew Wilson remarked. "The cornerstone of our endeavors is the extraordinary creativity, enthusiasm, and innovation demonstrated by our teams."

These financial updates from EA follow the news of a planned acquisition by a group that includes Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. The transaction, valued at around $55 billion, is anticipated to be finalized by spring 2026, as reported by Variety. Consequently, EA has announced its decision not to conduct a second-quarter earnings call and stated it will cease offering forward-looking financial guidance.
