Paradox Interactive Report: Revenue Down, Too Early to Discuss Results of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2
Last week, Paradox Interactive released their report for January-September 2025. The company noted that this period had mixed results for them.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2
- Paradox Interactive earned a total of 1.3 billion Swedish kronor (140.3 million dollars) over the nine months. This is 12% less than the previous year.
- Almost all the revenue came from PC games, which generated 1.14 billion Swedish kronor (122 million dollars) or 86.9% of the total revenue. Compared to last year, this amount dropped by 11%.
- Console games contributed another 119.7 million Swedish kronor (12.75 million dollars, down 21%). Mobile games accounted for 36.5 million Swedish kronor (3.9 million dollars, down 5.5%).
- Despite the decline in revenue, Paradox Interactive's operating profit increased by 20%. It amounted to 391.4 million Swedish kronor (41.7 million dollars).
- The company attributed the decline in revenue to the strengthening of the Swedish krona and fewer releases. Moreover, in the third quarter of 2025 (July-September), they heavily invested in marketing for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 and Europa Universalis V.
- Paradox Interactive is not ready to draw conclusions about the release of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 yet, as the game was released only a few days before the report's publication, making it too early to assess. However, the company is closely monitoring audience reactions. It should be noted that the game currently has a "mixed" rating on Steam, with only 55% of reviews being positive.
- Currently, Paradox Interactive is working on eight new games.
