Ubisoft's quarterly revenue fell short of expectations
Ubisoft's revenues continue to decline. In the report for the first fiscal quarter (April-June 2025), the company revealed that it had expected to earn more during this period but failed to do so for various reasons.
Rainbow Six Siege X
- Ubisoft's revenue amounted to 310.8 million euros, a decrease of 3.9% compared to the first quarter of 2024.
- Ubisoft's net bookings decreased by 2.9% to 281.6 million euros. Digital sales accounted for 88.7% of this amount. By platform distribution: 50% came from consoles, 26% from PC, and 10% from mobile devices.
- The report does not disclose the size of profits or losses.
- The company partially blames Rainbow Six Siege X for the revenue drop—a glitch in the game allowed players to earn more in-game currency for a while. Nevertheless, the game performed quite well. In June, the number of active users was the third highest in the shooter's history, surpassed only during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Other reasons for Ubisoft's financial decline include a partnership that was postponed to the second quarter and currency exchange rate fluctuations.
- Separately, Ubisoft announced that more than 5 million people have played Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
