Elden Ring: Nightreign leads US sales in May 2025, while Monster Hunter: Wilds continues as the year's top-selling title | US Monthly Charts

According to the latest sales figures from Circana for May 2025 in the United States, "Elden Ring: Nightreign" emerged as the top-selling premium title of the month and ranks as the eleventh highest-selling game so far in the year. This spin-off of FromSoftware's Elden Ring series leads sales on all major platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

The expenditure on video game hardware, software, and related accessories in the US during May 2025 reached $4.1 billion, reflecting a 1% uptick from the previous year. Despite this, year-to-date spending of $21.8 billion shows a decline of 6% compared to 2024.

On the mobile gaming front, "Monopoly Go!" continued to lead consumer expenditure, trailed by "Royal Match" and "Last War: Survival." Other noteworthy mentions in the top ten include "Candy Crush Saga," "Whiteout Survival," "Township," "Coin Master," "Pokémon TCG Pocket," "Evony," and "Gossip Harbor: Merge & Story."

Meanwhile, "Monster Hunter: Wilds" maintains its status as the top-selling game by revenue in the US for the year 2025.
