The Nintendo Switch 2 has achieved remarkable success, with sales surpassing 3.5 million units globally in the first four days since launch. This achievement marks the fastest-selling Nintendo hardware record in its initial release period.

According to Nintendo, this figure includes sales from the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle and encompasses both Japanese and multi-language system versions.

Comparatively, the initial Nintendo Switch managed to sell 2.7 million units during its initial month on the market back in 2017, as reported by Bloomberg.

Before the product's debut, Nintendo projected total hardware sales to reach 15 million units and software sales to hit 45 million by March 2026, anticipating a 63% growth in net sales during this period.

A report from Ampere Analysis indicated that over 13 million customers are expected to purchase Switch 2 within 2025.

Nintendo of America’s president, Doug Bowser, expressed gratitude, stating, "Fans around the world are showing enthusiasm for Switch 2 as an upgraded way to play at home and on the go." He added that they are pleased with how users are enjoying the new features and engaging in gameplay that connects families and friends in innovative ways.
