The non-profit group Games for Change, which aims to empower game developers and social innovators to create impact through digital and immersive technologies, has expanded its leadership team by bringing on five new board members. These new members include Samir El Agili of Tilting Point and Brandible, Benjamin Golant from Tencent Americas, Evan Segal of Segal Ventures, and Mark Stanley from Yelnats Collective.

The new appointees join existing members to support the growth and advancement of Games for Change’s objectives and initiatives. This includes programs like XR for Change, G4C Learn, and Raising Good Gamers. Previously, the organization launched the Games for Change Diverse Voices, New Stories Challenge, which took place in 2023.

Susanna Pollack, the organization's president, commented on the importance of Games for Change, noting, "As communities and organizations worldwide experience change at an unprecedented rate, Games for Change is needed more than ever." She emphasized the organization’s role at the intersection of creativity and purpose, recognizing the powerful potential of games to build empathy and nurture upcoming leaders.

The collective expertise of the Board of Directors in areas such as marketing, policy, and philanthropy, according to Pollack, enhances the organization's capacity to form innovative collaborations and expand its influence in effective ways. Each board member has made strides in using the medium of games not merely as entertainment but also as tools for education, entrepreneurship, and global development.
