CD Projekt Red has disclosed financial figures for the quarter ending March 31, 2025, indicating a slight dip in sales and net income during this period.

Sales showed minimal change from the previous year, slipping from PLN 226.7 million ($60.3 million) to PLN 226.3 million ($60.2 million), a decline of 0.17%.

The company's net income fell 14%, reaching PLN 86 million ($22.8 million) down from PLN 100 million ($26.6 million) recorded in the equivalent timeframe last year.

According to CFO Piotr Nielubowicz, the quarter's financial performance benefited from robust sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Phantom Liberty, which has surpassed 10 million copies sold following its release in September 2023.

Additionally, CD Projekt announced that Cyberpunk 2, which was previously known as Orion, is in the pre-production stage with recruitment efforts in 2025 focused on this development.

The developer workforce has grown to over 730 individuals as of April 2025, with 420 dedicated to developing The Witcher 4.

In terms of The Witcher series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has achieved sales exceeding 60 million copies worldwide since its debut in 2015, contributing PLN 2.4 billion ($638 million) in earnings.

Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt joint CEO, stated, "This achievement highlights The Witcher 3's status as a top-selling game, reflecting its sustained excellence, captivating universe, and steadfast supporter base globally."

He added, "Our ambition now is to engage both existing fans and newcomers with a fresh saga starting with The Witcher 4."

Discussing the PLN 2.4 billion revenue, Nowakowski remarked: "This performance underscores the long-lasting value of our franchise, bolstering CD Projekt Red’s stability and supporting our pursuit of new endeavors as we continue to innovate within The Witcher, Cyberpunk, and our third IP, Hadar."
